Sustained by a Miracle

i have been attempting to blog about this ever since i've heard it from a preaching last novermber 18, and just a week ago i have associated it with tadah..my 18th birthday. pastor jurray used the phrase "sustained by a miracle" referring to the Israelites when they were delivered out from Egypt and was led through the desert for forty years. their sandals didn't wear off, they never went hungry, there was light to guide them at night, they had all they needed for forty years in a land so dry and barren.

it isn't very unusual for people to get even just a little bit nostalgic when important events such as birthdays or christmas comes along so as i was thinking about the whole thing...legal age, maturity, growth, learning, experience, friends, family...i was reminded that really, nothing that i have ever had, have, or will ever have, cannot be qualified as gifts.

going back, more than the provision the Israelites enjoyed, it was the transformation within them that is the biggest miracle. eighteen years in my case...and counting.
